Moses Wetangula, the Ford Kenya party leader and Bungoma Senator, has commented on the relationship between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru.
Wetangula stated that there is more than meets the eye between President Kenyatta and Waiguru due to the speed at which the President defended her amidst accusations of siphoning millions of shillings from the National Youth Service (NYS).
Response to Presidential Statement ¶
Following President Kenyatta's announcement that he would not sack Waiguru over the Sh 865 million scandal, Wetangula took to social media to express his thoughts. He noted the irony in the President's decision, comparing it to the suspension of 5 Ministers in April without investigations.
Wetangula also referenced George Orwell's 1949 book, Animal Farm, saying that in President Kenyatta's government, some Cabinet Secretaries are more equal than others.
