CORD leader Raila Odinga was given a warm reception by Kakuma residents when he visited on Saturday, February 18, as part of his tour of Turkana county.

Raila was accompanied by ODM Deputy Chairman and Governor Josphat Nanok on the second day of his tour in the area, where he spent the day drumming up support for NASA and outlining the alliance's plans.

Earlier, armed youths had invaded and disrupted a political rally in Turkana East, firing live bullets towards Raila's podium. However, no one was injured in the incident, and Raila and other leaders escaped unhurt.

Following the incident, CORD leaders condemned the attack and questioned Interior Minister Joseph Nkaissery about the insecurity in several areas of the country.

Raila also addressed another rally in Lokichar, Turkana South, without any incidents.

The recovered account cited reporting by Tuko.
