According to sources, at least 200 Secret Service agents have arrived in Kenya ahead of President Barack Obama's expected visit in July to attend the Global Conference Summit. His security team has already begun making arrangements, including bringing in two armored vehicles.
President Obama is expected to travel in Nairobi in his own ultra-secure armored Cadillac limousine, known as the "Beast." US agencies have insisted that their president travel in his own official vehicle. He will fly into the country using Air Force One, a highly customized Boeing 747-200B, and land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
The US security team will also deploy security satellites to monitor at least four major roads in the city, including State House, Limuru, and Mombasa roads. An airborne radar system will be used to detect air threats in no-fly zones, capable of detecting aircraft from long ranges. However, details about areas where access would be limited due to road closures and traffic lockdowns have not been released by the government.
