Bookpoint, one of Nairobi’s oldest bookstores, has closed its doors after more than seven decades in operation.

A manager attributed the closure to a family dispute, according to Business Daily.

The bookstore, located on Moi Avenue, shut down earlier this month. A former manager, Ashwin Shah, stated that the shop has been closed indefinitely with no plans to reopen.

"We have decided to close due to family related issues that are not important to discuss for now,’’ said Mr Shah, declining to discuss the matter further.
