Alleged Theft Suspects Beaten by Mob in Nairobi

A woman and her male accomplice, accused of stealing Sh52,000 and goods from a recent arrival to the country, were severely beaten by a mob on Kimathi Street in Nairobi.

According to eyewitnesses, the two suspects were tracked down by the victim and cornered in the central business district with some of the stolen goods.

Police struggled to control a large crowd that had formed at the scene, as the suspects were left lying unconscious after being beaten.

The victim reportedly recovered all stolen goods, including passports and personal documents, but the money was not recovered.
