A Migori Member of County Assembly (MCA) has begun serving a 15-year prison sentence for defiling a 13-year-old girl.
Lukas Hura, representing Ntimaru East Ward, committed the offense on May 11 last year in Ntimaru town, Kuria East.
The case was transferred from the Kehancha law courts to Rongo, over 100km away, due to fears of potential riots by residents.
