A Kenyan couple, Mr and Mrs Wanjohi, who initially tied the knot on January 22 at Community Christian Worship Centre in Kasarani, Nairobi, in a modest wedding ceremony that cost Sh100, has received a grand wedding courtesy of well-wishers.
Their story, which captured the attention of many, led to an all-expense-paid honeymoon in Diani, courtesy of Bonfire Adventures, a local tour and travel company.
Diamond Properties also invested Sh1 Million in a project for the couple, which includes an eighth-acre plot valued at half a million shillings with a Sh320,000 greenhouse and capsicum crop in Isinya, Kajiado County.
The couple's grand wedding ceremony, which took place on Valentine's Day, is estimated to have cost Sh3.5 Million. The invite-only ceremony was held at the exclusive Eden Bliss gardens along the Northern Corridor and was planned by Slique Events Planner Limited.
Other suppliers, including Lesus Executive Car Hire, provided the wedding motorcade of two Mercedes-Benz and an Escalade.
