On a sweltering evening in Singapore, Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane etched his name into the history books with a breathtaking 93rd-minute winner from the halfway line, securing a thrilling 3-2 victory over Juventus in a pre-season friendly on July 21, 2019.
The England captain's stunning strike, which sailed high over a scrambling substitute keeper Wojciech Szczesny, capped off an electrifying encounter at the National Stadium in front of a delighted crowd.
"It's probably one of the best goals of my career," Kane said in a post-match interview. "I noticed the keeper was often off of his line and thought if I got a chance to shoot, I would, and it just went in."
The match got off to a lively start, with Tottenham dominating the first half as Juventus struggled to adapt to their new coach's 'Sarri-ball' tactic. Spurs pressed high up the pitch, catching Juventus off guard and forcing them to defend desperately.
Spurs took the lead on the half-hour mark, with Son Heung-min starting the move by holding up play and feeding Troy Parrott for a clear run at Gianluigi Buffon in the Juventus goal. The 17-year-old forward's low strike was parried by the veteran keeper straight into the path of an unmarked Erik Lamela for a routine tap-in.
However, Juventus fought back in the second half, with Gonzalo Higuain levelling the score in the 56th minute and Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a stunning goal four minutes later to put Juventus ahead.
Spurs were level once again in the 65th minute, thanks to Lucas Moura's strike after Tanguy Ndombele's low cross found the Brazilian with his first touch as a substitute.
With the match hanging in the balance, Kane and Higuain both squandered good chances to score winning goals in the final 10 minutes before the England striker sealed the win with his incredible strike.
