Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz has become one of the most sought-after artists in East Africa, known for his hits like Number One, Nataka Kulewa, and Nasema Nawe.
A leaked email from his manager to a Kenyan producer outlines the terms for a potential performance in Kenya. According to the email, the cost for Diamond Platnumz to perform would be $40,000 (approximately Ksh.3.6 million) to cover the expenses of his entire crew of 10 people.
The email also details the requirements for transportation, accommodation, and technical equipment. It states that the performance fee may increase by $5,000 if booking is delayed until after the release of their new track.
The email reads:
First of all, the team is going to include 10 people. You will have to manage local transport during our stay, return air transport, and accommodation for the whole team. > TRANSPORT 8 economy and 2 business class return air tickets > ACCOMMODATION 4 double rooms, one single room, and one presidential suite room > PERFORMANCE FEE Our performance fee is $40,000 per show at the moment, but if you delay booking us until we release our new track, there will be an increase of $5,000 > TECHNICAL RIDER Our technical rider includes two wireless Sure brand microphones, a glass stage with trussing having LED lights and moving heads...
