Veteran Kenyan Journalist Geita Mwangi Dies in Thika Road Accident

A veteran journalist, Geita Mwangi, has died from injuries sustained in a road accident along Thika Road on Thursday, November 26, evening.

According to reports, Mwangi's vehicle collided with a stationary lorry, resulting in fatal injuries.

News of his death sent shockwaves on social media platforms, with many sending condolence messages to his family.

Geita Mwangi was a distinguished print and electronic journalist who had worked for several media houses, including Nation newspaper, Radio Citizen, and Voice of America (VOA).

In addition to his journalism career, Mwangi was also a dedicated businessman and a PR and Media consultant for the Ministry of Agriculture.

Colleagues and friends took to social media to mourn his passing. Victor Bwire, a journalist formerly at the Nation who worked with Mwangi, said:

Can’t believe it. Ooh no…such a great, jovial and professionally generous bro. RIP

Another colleague, Mburu Mwangi from Nation Group, also paid tribute:

Oh, my God! Can’t believe it! May his soul RIP!
