Rosemary Odinga, the daughter of Cord leader Raila Odinga, has been hospitalized in Nairobi and is scheduled to undergo surgery to remove a suspected brain tumor.

According to sources close to the matter, Ms. Odinga was admitted to the hospital after complaining of a headache last weekend. The tumor is believed to be non-cancerous but may be exerting pressure on her brain, causing the headache.

Ms. Odinga was initially admitted to Nairobi Hospital on Friday before being transferred to Aga Khan University Hospital on Monday for further examination.

The details surrounding her hospitalization and the discovery of the tumor are not entirely clear. A family member confirmed that Ms. Odinga is in the hospital but did not disclose her condition or the timing of her admission.

As reported by Nation, Ms. Odinga is under the care of Dr. David Livingstone Oluoch-Olunya, a renowned neurosurgeon and part-time consultant at Aga Khan University Hospital, who has previously treated the Odinga family, including performing surgery on Raila Odinga in 2010.
