A mysterious incident occurred in Gitaru, Kikuyu, Kiambu county, where the bodies of four young men were found strangled and dumped in a vehicle near a garage.

A team of homicide detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations headquarters was dispatched to the area to investigate the circumstances surrounding the killings. The owner of the vehicle was arrested and detained at Kikuyu Police Station.

According to reports, two of the lifeless bodies were found on the back seat of the heavily tinted vehicle, while the other two were stuffed in the car boot. The bodies remained in the car for over 15 hours without being noticed by neighbors.

Preliminary police investigations suggest that the victims may have died from strangulation and trauma, with visible marks on their necks and swollen body parts. A police report seen by People Daily indicates that the bodies had serious head injuries and blood oozing from their mouths.

Kikuyu police boss Joseph Ongaya confirmed the incident and stated that investigations are ongoing. He noted that the four victims had no identification documents and may have been killed elsewhere before their bodies were dumped in the vehicle.

The incident was reported by boda boda operators who became suspicious after noticing the vehicle parked at the scene for an extended period. Locals were unable to identify any of the victims, and by the evening, none of the bodies had been positively identified or claimed by next of kin at City Mortuary.

In a separate incident, police in Garissa are investigating the murder of two brothers and a private security guard at Kilas food court on Wednesday night. The assailants allegedly accessed the hotel by jumping through a perimeter wall and attacked the trio at dawn.

The recovered account cited reporting by Mediamax.
