Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet has released the names of seven terror suspects wanted in connection with various terror attacks in the North Eastern region, including the theft of BVR kits during an attack at a police camp in Mandera.
The suspects are also believed to have been involved in other terror attacks, including the Bisharo Lodge attack in October 2016, the Jabane Hotel attack in January 2017, and the Arabia Police Camp attack in February 2017.
A bounty of KSh 14 million has been placed on the suspects, who are thought to be operating between Kenya and Somalia.
The seven suspects include Abdullahi Isaac Diyat alias Ubeyd, Ahmed Maalim Bashir, Sharif Sheikh Arab, Andikadir Haret Mohamed Yussuf Kuno, Ahmed Mahat Mohamed aka Jerry, Idriss Ismael Issack, and a Mohamed whose full name is not known.
"The terrorists are believed to be operating between Kenya and Somalia and are suspected to have been involved in a number of terror attacks in the North Eastern region, particularly in Mandera County," said Boinnet in a statement.
The police are asking Kenyans to come forward with any information they may have about the suspects.
