A building under construction in Ongata Rongai collapsed, resulting in one death.
The collapse occurred on a Sunday morning at approximately 2am, trapping several individuals beneath the rubble.
Initially, reports suggested that up to four people might have been trapped under the debris.
However, by Sunday noon, the number of missing persons was confirmed to be one, who was believed to have been inside the building at the time of the incident.
A rescue operation involving the police, Kenya Red Cross, and the Nairobi County fire brigade is underway.
Pius Masai, Deputy Director of the National Disaster Management Unit (NDMU), stated that a search and rescue team had been formed, with excavators working to move the rubble.
