A 14-year-old boy was killed by residents in Karai estate, Naivasha, after being caught stealing chickens from a homestead.

According to witness Samuel Njue, the teenager broke into a house while the owners were away and stole three chickens using a gunny bag.

Njue stated, "We have seen an increase in cases of housebreaking during daytime, and irate residents decided to lynch the suspect after arresting him."

The boy's body was taken to Naivasha mortuary, and an inquiry file was opened following the midday incident, as reported by Radio Jambo.
