A team led by Lee Makwiny reported that prior information indicated youths had been hired to cause chaos at two centers in Homa Bay.
The team altered their route to avoid potential chaos, opting for the Olare-Rangwe-Rodi route instead of the Olare-Homabay route. Upon arrival at Olare, the team was met with a generally good reception, although there were a few hecklers stationed away from the venue. Despite ignoring these hecklers, the team's cars were stoned as they departed.
