Residents of Green Park estate in Athi River, Machakos county, report that approximately 200 youths were transported to the area in four buses and launched an attack on locals, allegedly over a land dispute.
The armed group, equipped with machetes, ordered residents to vacate the land, leading to a confrontation with locals that resulted in a bloody event and loss of lives. According to reports, three people died in the altercation.
Following the Friday morning chaos, police arrested 92 individuals and initiated an investigation into the incident.
