A Kenyan woman, Laura Imali, who traveled to the United States to be with her American partner, is allegedly being forced into sex trafficking, according to her friend, Cynthia Khamati.
Cynthia said Laura met the American man, Ted, through a dating site last year and started an online relationship. After some time, Ted visited Laura in Kenya, and later, he sent her a ticket to fly to the United States to join him.
However, upon arrival in the United States, Laura was allegedly taken to a location where she was forced to participate in explicit activities, including the production of x-rated movies. A video clip circulating online appears to show Laura being abused by two men.
According to Cynthia, Interpol is investigating the matter. The incident came to light just before former US President Barack Obama's visit to Kenya.
