A standoff in Kericho town between KANU and Jubilee supporters over rally venues has been resolved. A large crowd of KANU supporters flooded Moi Gardens, which had been a point of contention between the two groups.

Jubilee supporters, led by Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Sotik MP Joyce Laboso, claimed the venue had been booked by their party for a rally featuring Deputy President William Ruto. However, KANU Secretary General Nick Salat maintained that the venue was booked by the KANU MASHINANI group.
