Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko's wife recently celebrated her birthday.
A photo posted by Sonko on his Facebook page showed an array of alcoholic beverages, including at least 6 bottles of Johnnie Walker Gold Label or Gold Label Reserve.
According to prices from EABL, the Gold Label costs Sh7,500 per 750ml bottle, while the Gold Label Reserve costs Sh6,300. This would put the total spend on alcohol at over Sh40,000.
