Kiambu Governor William Kabogo warned against what he termed as mismanagement of the Kabete by-election polls by the newly formed Jubilee Alliance Party.
He also cautioned 'outsiders' and 'political tourists' against seeking posts in the county. This warning comes after Nairobi politician Ferdinand Waititu entered the race.
The by-election has drawn over 23 candidates, with Waititu reportedly being a front runner and the preferred choice of 'state house'. Governor Kabogo, however, expressed his support for Charles Arahuka, the chief whip of the Kiambu County Assembly, who also serves as the Gitaru Ward representative and former chairman of the Kikuyu Town Council.
