As the by-elections in Malindi and Kericho drew to a close, ODM was poised to win Malindi's election with a significant margin.
With only two polling stations remaining, ODM had secured over 15,000 votes, according to the available information.
In the earlier counts, ODM's candidate, William Mtengo, was leading with 13,951 votes, followed by Jubilee's Philip Charo with 8,620 votes from 92 out of 100 polling stations.
In Kericho, JAP's candidate, Aaron Cheruiyot, was leading with 105,544 votes, compared to KANU's 54,849, with 21 polling stations remaining.
KANU rejected the Kericho results and demanded a stop to the transmission of the results.
The announcement of the Malindi by-election results was also criticized on social media for being too slow.
