Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has acquired over 200 luxury cars and trucks for his 2017 campaigns, according to reports.
The governor's fleet includes limousines, Land Rovers, Isuzu trucks, and Toyota V8s, among other high-end vehicles, which have been spotted in various parts of Nairobi. Many of these cars bear the KCK number plates, indicating they were recently imported.
Photos have emerged showing the cars parked in different estates and moving through the city, ahead of the anticipated campaign against Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko.
It is also reported that Sonko plans to unveil over 300 branded cars this month, including Range Rovers and Toyota Land Cruisers, with some of these vehicles currently in transit.
According to available information, Sonko intends to spend approximately Ksh 6 billion on his campaigns, while Kidero has allocated Ksh 5 billion.
