- Governor Dr. Evans Kidero: Sh 1 million
- Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka: Sh 500,000
- CORD Leader of Minority in Senate Moses Wetangula: Sh 300,000
- Governor Ali Hassan Joho: Sh 500,000
- Governor Amoth Rasanga: Sh 500,000
- Governor Cyprian Awiti: Sh 500,000
- Governor Jack Ranguma: Sh 200,000
- Governor Wycliffe Oparanya: Sh 500,000
Raila Odinga, during the Harambee, expressed his commitment to delivering the Kajiado seat to the opposition. He stated that the by-election should not have been necessary if the ruling regime had respected Kenya's democracy and not poached an opposition MP.
