The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is recruiting 5,000 additional teachers for public primary and post-primary institutions in Kenya.
The vacancies comprise 2,338 posts for primary school teachers and 2,662 posts for post-primary teachers.
Basic Requirements ¶
To be eligible, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Be Kenyan citizens
- Be 45 years of age or below
- Hold original professional and academic certificates
- Be registered with the TSC
- Hold a P1 certificate for primary school teacher positions
For post-primary institutions, applicants must hold a minimum of a Diploma in Education.
Application Process ¶
Interested candidates should apply to the TSC County Director in the county where the vacancy is advertised, submitting all relevant academic and professional documents.
Those who applied earlier and were unsuccessful must apply again, as a new merit list will be generated for the 2015/2016 financial year.
Applications for post-primary institutions should be submitted to the Secretary, Board of Management of the school/institution, with a copy sent to the TSC County Director by July 31, 2015.
