Kalonzo Musyoka, the Wiper party leader, has criticized President Uhuru Kenyatta for not suspending Anne Waiguru, the Cabinet Secretary for Devolution and Planning, amid graft allegations in her ministry.
According to Kalonzo, the president's administration has failed to address community clashes, which have become a significant security concern in the country.
Kalonzo also advised Deputy President William Ruto to refrain from tarnishing his reputation ahead of the 2017 general election and instead focus on his duties and responsibilities.
In a separate development, Raila Odinga, the leader of the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord), extended an olive branch to Deputy President William Ruto, expressing his willingness to work with him in the run-up to the 2017 General elections.
Odinga, however, urged Ruto to stop criticizing Kalonzo Musyoka, his Cord co-principal, on the grounds that he is a 'weak' politician, which could potentially aid Odinga's own election bid.
