According to the statement made by Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) chairman John Mbadi, the party plans to introduce an amendment in parliament aimed at reducing the powers of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA).

Mr Mbadi expressed concerns that the CA has been misusing its powers, citing the ongoing dispute involving major television stations such as NTV, KTN, Citizen, and QTV as evidence.

The comments were made during the burial ceremony of nominated MCA Celestine Owidi at Atela Primary school in Kabondo Kasipul. Mr Mbadi stated that the CA has used its powers to deny Kenyans access to these popular TV stations.
