President Uhuru Kenyatta met with a delegation from Migori, who traveled to apologize.

The delegation, consisting of over 500 individuals referred to as 'elders,' arrived at State House Nairobi on buses, with approximately 8 buses used for transportation. Each delegate received an allowance of at least Sh7000.

The financial responsibility for the visit, whether it fell to the county government of Migori or the national government, is unclear. Questions regarding the allocation of funds may arise during audits.

A meeting with the President was initially delayed due to issues with catering arrangements. According to reports, Safari Park Hotel, the official caterer for State House, did not receive timely notice to prepare food for such a large gathering.
