Koth Biro Off-Season Tournament Enters Round of 16 ¶
The round of 16 for the Koth Biro off-season tournament kicked off on July 22, with a series of thrilling matches set to take place over the next three days.
Among the most anticipated matches in the round of 16 is the one between Nyoi FC from Ziwani and Borussia from Majengo, two estates with a long-standing football rivalry that always promises an entertaining match for fans.
Another highly anticipated match is between last year's finalist Githurai United and Allin Jua Kali, who are participating in the tournament for the first time and have already knocked out last year's defending champions, Cinema FC.
The group stages were exciting and thrilling, with several new teams dominating their groups and qualifying for the round of 16, including Allin Jua Kali, Ping FC, and Ruaraka All Stars.
Star-studded teams like Opitos and Fifa Best failed to qualify for the round of 16, despite having notable names in their teams.
The tournament has received a boost with Sportpesa still on board as the main sponsor, continuing to support grassroots football in the country.
