Kenya's Harambee Stars are set to receive KSh 62 million for their participation in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, despite being eliminated in the group stages.
According to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), all 24 participating teams will receive KSh 60 million, with Kenya and Angola earning an additional KSh 2 million for finishing third.
Quarter-finalists, including Madagascar, Ivory Coast, South Africa, and Benin, will earn KSh 80 million each, while third and fourth-placed finishers Nigeria and Tunisia are set to rake in a massive KSh 200 million.
Algeria, the tournament winners, will receive KSh 450 million, while runners-up Senegal will pocket KSh 250 million.
Algeria finished the tournament unbeaten, stunning Senegal 1-0 in the final on July 19, 2019, at Cairo International Stadium.
Earlier, Algeria's Ismael Bennacer claimed the Player of the Tournament award after an impressive campaign with the Desert Foxes.
