On a sunny day in Kakamega, the Kenya Cup champions KCB Rugby Football Club started their campaign on a high note, defeating Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) RFC 36-10.
The win was largely due to the impressive performance of new signings Johnstone Olindi and Levi Amunga, who joined Isaac Njoroge and Davis Chenge on the score sheet.
With this victory, KCB continued their impressive start by defeating Kisii 41-0, making them one of the top teams in the competition.
Other teams that have qualified for the Kakamega Sevens quarters include Nondescripts, Mwamba, Impala, and defending champions Homeboyz.
