Deputy President William Ruto has told off those criticising his church generosity, saying he will not be lectured on how to do God's work.
Speaking in Machakos during a fundraiser in aid of Africa Inland Church (AIC) Katisaa, Ruto asked Kenyans to reject leaders with no development agenda, but are good at playing hate politics.
"We have read the Bible and we have understood what we are called to do, nobody should be forced to give to God. Someone should not give us lectures on what to do," Ruto said.
Published on July 20, 2019, Ruto urged Kenyans to desist from empty political rhetoric and direct their energies to President Uhuru Kenyatta's Big 4 agendas.
He hailed President Kenyatta for uniting all political leaders, including their opponents, saying it was time to transform the country's political culture.
"We must harmonise our politics so that we create synergy and drive the transformation of Kenya together as the people of this great Nation," Ruto said.
