Raila, Mudavadi Expected at Kadenge Burial

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi are among the dignitaries expected to attend the burial of former football star Joe Kadenge on Saturday, July 20, 2019.

Deputy President William Ruto will lead the government in the burial, with Central Organization Trade Union (Cotu) Secretary General Francis Atwoli, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko Mbuvi, and host governor Wilbur Otichillo also in attendance.

The funeral ceremony will be conducted at Gisambai Primary School, followed by the burial at Kadenge's home in Soliani, Vihiga.

According to Chris Kadenge, the deceased's nephew, the ceremony is expected to begin at 10:30 am and end at 3 pm.

AFC Leopards legends, including Maurice Sunguti, Omar Shaban, and Nicholas Muyoti, will also be in attendance.

Veteran sports journalist and broadcaster Jack Oyoo Silvester will be the MC at the event, which is renowned for his rich experience as a football commentator in Kenya during the days Kadenge was showcasing his prowess.
