Police, KDF Dominate Final Slots in Boxing League ¶

Kenya Police and Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) dominated the qualifying rounds of the National Boxing League, securing eight and seven slots respectively for the finals.
Super heavyweight champion Fredrick Ramogi of KDF won his bout against James Muhu of Nairobi in the class Super Heavy Weight 91+kg category on points, delivering successful jabs to his opponent.
Elly Ajowi of Kenya Police had to box for three rounds to knock out Peter Abuti of KDF in the class heavyweight 91kg category.
Other winners in the semifinals included Moses Biko of Vihiga, who was rescued by the referee from Boniface Mogunde's fists in the Welter 69kg category, and Stanley Ogutu of Kentrack, who knocked out John Juma of Kibra in the class light Welter 64kg category.
The National Boxing League will enter its final stage on Saturday, with boxers undergoing medical checkups at 8:00am ahead of the Finals at 3:00pm.
