On July 20, 2019, a Nairobi man made headlines when he posted a video of his wife confessing to an affair with a hawker in Gikomba.
The video, posted by Derrick Mbugua, an aspiring politician, showed his wife initially denying the affair before admitting to it and claiming to have used a condom.
However, in a surprising twist, Mbugua announced the next day that he had forgiven his wife, sparking speculation about the authenticity of the drama.
Speaking to Nairobi Journal, Mbugua explained that his marriage had been rocky, with his wife accusing him of 'prostitution' whenever he was away. He also revealed that he had been seeing another woman in the past.
