Kenyans React to Sonko's Picture of Raila Odinga with Rev. Lucy Natasha ¶
On July 20, 2019, Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko shared a picture of Opposition leader Raila Odinga with City preacher Reverend Lucy Natasha on his Instagram account.
According to the caption, Sonko said that even the handshake needed to be prayed for, for it to be blessed.
“Baba mwenyewe. Handshake lazima iombewe ndio ikuwe na Baraka,” wrote the Nairobi Governor.
His followers then asked for clarification on what he was driving at, by sharing the photo. Others questioned whether he wanted to accuse Raila of what he was accused of, when pictures of himself with the Rev. Natasha went around.
Sonko was accused of having an affair with the Oracle Ministries preacher and that he financed her lavish lifestyle, allegations they have both denied.
