Oracle Appoints David Bungei as Managing Director for Kenya

Oracle has announced the appointment of David Bungei as Managing Director of Kenya operations, effective immediately. Bungei will be responsible for driving digital transformation with Oracle Cloud, helping Kenyan public and private sector organisations achieve their strategic objectives.

With over two decades of experience in the IT and Telecommunications sector, Bungei has held several leadership roles with leading organisations. Prior to joining Oracle, he was General Manager at Cisco Systems, responsible for business in East Africa and Indian Ocean Islands from September 2015 to 2019.

Andrew Sordam, Vice President & Regional Managing Director Africa at Oracle, welcomed Bungei's appointment, stating, 'He has demonstrated a shared commitment to Kenya and a focus on placing customer needs first. We are confident that under his leadership, Oracle will fortify its reputation as a digital business solutions vendor of choice.'

David Bungei expressed his excitement for the next chapter of his professional life at Oracle, saying, 'It's an opportunity to align more companies with the most relevant cloud solution for their imperatives while building lasting relationships between customers and business partners that deliver mutual success.'

Kenya is one of 10 African nations where Oracle has dedicated offices to serve the local business community. Oracle's presence on the African continent dates back 30 years.
