Starehe MP Charles 'Jaguar' Njagua has found himself in hot water after posting pictures on social media claiming to be in Tanzania, but with different locations in the same pictures.

On Wednesday and Thursday, Jaguar posted two pictures at the same venue, but with different locations - Dodoma and Dar es Salaam.

These pictures have sparked a fresh controversy, given Jaguar's recent diplomatic row with Tanzania over a video that went viral on social media, in which he threatened to invade premises of foreigners doing businesses in the CBD, within his constituency.

However, in one of the pictures, it appears that the location is actually Westlands, Nairobi, as the Sanlam Towers and Safaricom House are clearly visible in the background.

Efforts to reach Jaguar for comment were unsuccessful, as he did not answer calls or reply to messages.

It is worth noting that last month, Jaguar was arrested after a video of him calling on Tanzanian and Ugandan traders to leave the country was widely shared on social media.

He was held in police custody for over a week and released on 6 July after paying a $4,800 (£3,800) bail, facing charges of incitement to violence.

During a debate in Parliament, opposition leader Freeman Mbowe expressed concern that Jaguar's remarks could put the lives of Tanzanians who have invested in Kenya at risk.

The Star reported on the incident.
