A gospel artiste has been accused of making interview requests uncomfortable for women working in the media, according to a source familiar with the exchange.
The source said the singer asked for full pictures of a female journalist before agreeing to speak, a request she found inappropriate. She later raised the matter with other women in the industry, who reportedly said they had received similar treatment.
After that, the planned interview was handed to a male colleague, who called the artiste instead. The singer then said he would not take part unless he was speaking to the woman he had already dealt with.
The interview never went ahead, with the source declining to send the picture the artiste had requested.
