The family of South Sudanese self-proclaimed millionaire Lawrence Lual Malong Yor Jnr says he is missing after allegedly being taken from his hotel room in Kampala by men dressed in military uniform.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigirye told Daily Monitor that the family filed a report at Kabalagala Police Station in Kampala and said they had not heard from him since November 14.
Malong first drew public attention after a video of him swimming in dollars went viral. He later appeared in an interview on Citizen TV hosted by Jeff Koinange.
His disappearance was first reported by Juba-based Radio Tamazuj through its website. It came weeks after he appeared in a video with a KUSO representative and promised to bankroll the institution.
