The 2018 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education results were announced early in the week, with the top score shared by two candidates.
Olive Mwea of Riara Road Primary School and Rawlings Odhiambo Aketch of Kakamega Hill School each scored 453 marks, while Osinga Merab Adan of Booker Primary School in Mumias posted 449 out of 500.
Akothee later said on Instagram that Akothee Safaris would fly the top three KCPE candidates to Malindi for a holiday treat.
The gesture drew attention as pupils across the country moved on to the next stage of their education.
