A Kenyan priest serving in Cameroon was shot dead on Wednesday in the country’s South West region, an area that has seen rising violence since separatists declared it an independent state.

Witnesses said there was no fighting at the time of the attack. According to their account, the killers went to the priest’s church in Kembong and shot him dead.
