Safaricom has rolled out an “Asante Data Sunday” promotion that will refund data used by customers on Friday 23 November 2018 and Saturday 24 November 2018.
The bonus data will be credited on Sunday 25 November 2018 and will be valid for use throughout the day, from midnight to 11:59 p.m.
According to Charles Kare, Director of Consumer Business at Safaricom, the offer is part of the company’s 18-year anniversary “Nawe Kila Wakati” campaign. He said the promotion is meant to thank customers for their loyalty and trust, adding that Safaricom’s mobile broadband growth has been driven by more than 17 million customers who use its data network every month.
Customers can check their accumulated usage and bonus balance by dialing 44420# from 23 November 2018. Safaricom said the bonus data will be used before any existing or purchased bundles.
The promotion applies to Safaricom PrePay, Hybrid and PostPay customers, who will be enrolled automatically.
The company has also recently announced another offer under the same anniversary campaign, including calls at Sh1 per minute. Customers will also receive a free 1 GB data bundle and a special Sh1 per minute call rate on their birthdays.
