A Moroccan woman has been accused of killing her ex-boyfriend in the United Arab Emirates, then mincing and cooking his flesh in a traditional Arabic dish before serving it to construction workers near her home.

The case came to light after the man’s brother reported him missing in January. When he visited the couple’s home to ask about his sibling, the woman allegedly said she did not know where he was and claimed they had split after she learned he was planning to marry another woman.

Suspicion deepened when the brother noticed a human tooth inside a blender. That discovery led to a police investigation and the woman’s arrest.

Al Ain Police later carried out DNA tests that confirmed the tooth and the other material found in the blender belonged to the missing man. A source at the Al Ain prosecution said the woman confessed to chopping up her lover’s remains.

During questioning, she allegedly told investigators that after dismembering the body, she asked a friend to clean the house and dispose of the remains. Prosecutors also said the 30-year-old woman admitted killing the victim, who was in his 20s, because she wanted revenge after he ended their relationship following seven years of financial support.

The woman is expected to be referred to Al Ain court on a charge of premeditated murder.
