Police and the National Transport and Safety Authority impounded a Kiriath-Jiam School bus after a video circulated showing pupils hanging precariously from its windows.
The vehicle was later towed to Embakasi Police Station after the clip drew widespread anger online.
The bus was said to have breached the recently re-enforced Michuki rules, with critics describing the incident as reckless and unsafe for the children on board.
“It’s towed away finally.”
Police had not yet said what charges, if any, the school administrators or the driver could face.
Public reaction ¶
The video sparked a heated debate on social media, with many users calling for legal action against the school.
The incident was reported in 2018, when the bus was finally impounded on Wednesday night and moved to the police station.
