On 22 November 2018, Bongo Fleva star Ali Kiba confirmed that his Kenyan wife, Amina Rikesh, is expecting a child. He said the baby is due early next year during an interview on Radio Jambo.
Speaking to Massawe on Monday, Kiba said the pregnancy would mark his fourth child. He framed the development as a blessing in line with his faith, saying, “Katika dini yetu, we believe it is a blessing to get married and after a few months to get a baby. This will be my fourth child now.”
Kiba also revisited how the relationship began, saying he met Amina in Nairobi while she was studying at the United States International University Africa. According to him, she was already a fan before the two started dating and eventually married.
He described Amina as understanding and respectful, adding that the couple had avoided drama during their eight months of marriage. Kiba also said he is on good terms with the mothers of his other children and continues to support them.
The singer, who has three other children from previous relationships, said he takes responsibility for them. He also used the interview to talk about his business interests, including the Mofaya energy drink brand, which he said would be launched in Kenya soon.
Kiba said the company has been in development for two years and is based in South Africa. He added that Kenyan fans have been among his strongest supporters and said Kenya would be considered before a launch in Tanzania.
