July 18, 2019, marked a significant shift in the views of Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria, as he showered praises on Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga.
During an interview with KTN, Kuria described Odinga as a politician who plays mature politics and one who does not hold grudges with anyone, including his political rivals.
“Raila is a politician who plays mature politics, everyone loves baba and I cannot afford to hate him,” said Kuria.
Notably, Kuria's past behavior towards Odinga was marked by insults, but it appears he has changed his opinion on the kind of person the Opposition leader is.
He also expressed admiration for Odinga, stating that he aspires to be like him and terming their relationship as “very good.”
Furthermore, Kuria revealed that he is working with Odinga in spearheading the building bridges initiative and in the handshake.
However, Kuria's praise for Odinga was not without criticism for Deputy President William Ruto, whom he accused of prioritizing his 2022 presidential ambition over the interests of Kenyans.
“All of us are presidential material, it is wrong for Ruto to start campaigning this early,” Kuria said.
