On July 18, 2019, Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) announced the opening of applications for its managing director position, a move that comes just days after the firm extended the contract of acting MD Hudson Andambi.

The position has become vacant following the resignation of Joe Sang on December 4, 2018, and his subsequent arrest over alleged corruption involving the construction of the Sh1.8 billion Kisumu oil jetty.

According to a notice by the KPC board, interested and qualified candidates must have a minimum of 15 years working experience, with at least 10 years in an executive management position.

Applicants will be offered a competitive remuneration package in line with public service guidelines, with the appointment being for a contractual period of three years, renewable once for a similar period subject to satisfactory performance and delivery of set performance targets and outcomes.
