In an interview with Entertainment Tonight published on November 21, 2018, Cardi B said motherhood has become one of the most rewarding parts of her life. She spoke about raising her daughter, Kulture, and described the daily demands of caring for a baby who was dealing with a blocked nose.
“I love everything about motherhood. I like everything, like, it’s just a different feeling,”
Cardi said the experience keeps her alert through the night as she looks after Kulture’s breathing and comfort. She said the routine can be exhausting, but insisted she still enjoys every part of it.
“I’m up all night. I’m sucking her boogers. I’m making sure that she’s breathing. I’m making sure she doesn’t suck on the pacifier with the nose and the stuffiness at the same time, It’s a lot, but I love everything.”
She also said Offset is a strong father and that seeing him parent helped deepen her feelings for him. Cardi noted that he already had three children before Kulture, and said that watching him with his kids made her confident about having a child with him.
“I’ve been seeing Offset being a dad — he already has three kids — so I fell in love the way that he was a dad already, I was like, ‘Oh my god, I can have a little one with this guy. He’s really good.'”
Asked about expanding the family, Cardi said she does want more children with Offset, but not right away. She said she could imagine having two more, while making clear that she was not ready for another pregnancy at that moment.
“Yeah, I certainly want more,” she said. “I think, like, two more… But I don’t want one right now.”
She added that the couple were not actively trying for another child, though she acknowledged that it could happen unexpectedly. Cardi also joked that Kulture may be more attached to her, even though Offset changes diapers and is involved in day-to-day care.
“I think she loves me a little bit more, but I think she’s just loyal to whoever gives her the milk,” Cardi said.
