On 2018-11-21, Tanzanian singer Ali Kiba confirmed that he and his wife, Amina Khalef, are expecting their first child together early next year.
Speaking in an interview, Kiba said the pregnancy would make the child his fourth overall. He framed the news as a blessing and linked it to his faith, saying: “We are expecting a baby early next year, God-willing. Katika dini yetu, we believe it is a blessing to get married and after a few months to get a baby. This will be my fourth child now,” said Alikiba.
He also spoke warmly about Amina, describing her as calm, respectful and understanding. According to Kiba, that temperament has helped the couple avoid public drama during the eight months they had been married at the time.
Kiba said he met Amina in Nairobi when she was a student at USIU, and that their relationship began after she became his fan. He said the two got to know each other before eventually marrying.
The singer, who already had three children from a previous relationship, married Amina Khalef in an invite-only wedding at the Kenyan coast.
